Penzance Folk Club - Gallery

A true Cornish lad, Bob enjoyed singing in choirs at school, and later as Skipper of the lugger “Happy Return” he learned a few shanties for communal singing on board. He learned to play the concertina and joined the Golowan Band, the Tros an Tres Cornish dance group, then the Pensans Morris. More recently he has formed Jay Cee & Bee, a harmony group who regularly support the folk club. He sings songs relating to life in Cornwall, both traditional and self-penned.
